Автори статті на знакових прикладах останніх десятиліть показують, якою непростою стає така проблематика, коли виникають ситуації «втрати суб’єктності» формуваннями збройних сил певних традиційних геополітичних суб’єктів.The relevance of the research. Problems related to geopolitical subjectivity were and remain one of the main ones for the philosophy of history. At the same time, they cannot be reduced to purely theoretical considerations disconnected from real events. The authors of the article, using significant examples of recent decades, show how difficult such problems become when situations of "loss of subjectivity" by the formations of the armed forces of certain traditional geopolitical subjects arise. And at the same time, how do Ukrainians, whom no one paid attention to, show such subjectivity? But the actions of Ukrainians that are unexpected for external observers are not a coincidence, they are determined by previous history, so they did not “come out of nowhere." Thus, to better understand the present, one should turn to history. The purpose of this article is to identify the peculiarities of the transformation of latent subjectivity into actual subjectivity, primarily by analysing Ukrainian realities. The historical part of this article is devoted to the transformation of Ukraine's latent geopolitical subjectivity into actual subjectivity, which was clearly evidenced by the active and independent participation of Ukrainian military formations in the overthrow of the tsarist regime in Russia (March 1917), which had a colossal impact on the situation in the world. The authors trace the key plots and moments of change on the Ukrainian territory at the end of the 19th century—in the first decades of the 20th century, primarily changes in the intellectual environment and politically active circles. However, at the same time, like in the vast majority of colonies, far from the entire population of Ukraine constituted the Ukrainian nation, even the greater part of ethnic Ukrainians was in an uncertain status. The First World War and the revolution in the Russian Empire significantly accelerated the consolidation of national subjectivity but did not make it sufficiently strong and internally structured. The conclusion made by the authors of the article consists, first, in the need to take into account the fact of the existence of a long process of transformation latent geopolitical subjectivity of Ukraine into actual subjectivity, and second, in the fact that the subjectivity of Ukraine hardly fits into the framework of the standard dichotomy "latent-actual" and requires the development of a more complex conceptual and categorical apparatus for its characterisation.ukУкраїнагеополітична суб’єктністьлатентна й актуальна суб’єктністьмодерна націяідеологічне підґрунтя суб’єктностіUkrainegeopolitical subjectivitylatent and actual subjectivitymodern nationideological background of subjectivityГеополітична суб’єктність України: латентна перетворюється на актуальнуGeopolitical Subjectivity of Ukraine: Latent is Turned into ActualСтаття
