For national-patriotic education, especially in the conditions of the modern Russian-Ukrainian war, it is very important to update knowledge about the personal significant contribution of fighters to the restoration of Ukrainian state independence, the development of Ukrainian public diplomacy, and the formation of the Ukrainian political nation, in particular such a legendary figure as Ya. Stetsko. This study provides an opportunity to learn a historical lesson, the essence of which is that resistance to Russian occupation and the struggle to preserve the geopolitical subjectivity of the Ukrainian state is important for Ukrainians at all levels of international cooperation. The international public and political activity of Ya. Stetsko is a vivid example of the national liberation struggle against Russian enslavement, this experience must be studied in order to form a conscious national-patriotic position. The purpose of the article is to summarize and analyze the main directions of the international national-patriotic, public and political activity of Ya. Stetsko, and characterize her personal contribution to the formation of Ukrainian public diplomacy, the development of the Ukrainian state, and the Ukrainian political nation in the mid-20th – early 21st centuries. Conclusions. Thus, the article summarizes the experience of international national liberation and public political Ya. Stetsko, analyzes her participation in the national liberation struggle for the restoration of the state independence of the Ukrainian state and the formation of the Ukrainian political nation in the mid-20th – early 21st centuries. The knowledge that Ya. Stetsko is an example of a Ukrainian woman politician of the international level, whose name is associated with Ukrainian national patriotism and fighters for the independence of Ukraine, is updated.
