Хто він?», «Образ сучасного українського воїна» (далі – Конкурс). Досліджено нормативно-правову базу, що стала підґрунтям для проведення Конкурсу, та джерельну основу. Зазначено головні завдання Конкурсу та організаційний склад журі. Здійснено системний аналіз кількісних і якісних показників конкурсних есеїв на теми: «Воїн ЗСУ. Хто він?», «Образ сучасного українського воїна». Оцінено творчі роботи конкурсантів і визначено переможців. Здійснено українознавчий аналіз найкращих учнівських робіт учасників Конкурсу. Показано, що тексти конкурсних робіт написані українською мовою, що свідчить про ефективну державну мовну політику на сучасному етапі. Виявлено, що учнівська молодь глибоко переосмислила тему «Воїни ЗСУ», розмірковує над образами сучасних захисників та захисниць України, притаманними їм рисами, поведінковими характеристиками, якими наділені справжні борці за незалежність Української держави. Доведено, що змістове наповнення конкурсних есеїв сприяє формуванню патріотичної свідомості та національної ідентичності громадян України. Наголошено, що, висвітлюючи образи воїнів ЗСУ та загалом героїв України у конкурсних роботах, учні доводять їх значущість та впливовість для зростаючого покоління, акцентуючи на тому, що бути захисником територіальної цілісності нашої держави – почесно. Визначено, що українознавча складова є основою конкурсних робіт. З’ясовано, що патріотична складова Конкурсу сприяє якісному національно-патріотичному вихованню української молоді.The article analyzes the competition works of pupils of the International Annual Literary and Artistic Essay Contest for Schoolchildren of 1-4, 5-8, and 9-11 Grades: «Warrior of the AFU. Who is he?», «The Image of a Modern Ukrainian Warrior» (further - the Competition). The regulatory and legal framework, which became the basis for holding the Competition, its source base were studied. The main tasks of the Competition and its organizational composition of the jury are specified. A system analysis of quantitative and qualitative indicators of competitive essays on the topics: "Warrior of the Armed Forces. Who is he?", "The image of a Modern Ukrainian Warrior". The creative works of the contestants were evaluated and the winners were determined. The Ukrainian studies analysis of the best student works of the Contest participants was carried out. It is shown that the texts of the competitive works are written in the state language, which indicates a high-quality state language policy at the current stage. It was revealed that the student youth deeply reconsidered the theme “Soldiers of the Armed Forces”, reflect on the image of modern defenders of Ukraine, their inherent traits, behavioral characteristics, which the true fighters for the independence of the Ukrainian state are endowed with. It is proved that the content of competitive essays contributes to the formation of patriotic consciousness and national identity of Ukrainian citizens. It is emphasized that by analyzing and highlighting the images of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and heroes of Ukraine in general in the competition works, the students prove their significance for the growing generation and the influence of the heroes of Ukraine, emphasizing that it is honorable to be a defender of the territorial integrity of our state. It was determined that the Ukrainian national idea is the basis of competitive works.
