С. 84–91.https://doi.org/10.17721/phgg.2019.3.08https://ir.library.knu.ua/handle/15071834/8689The article provides an overview of the main issues that have become the subject of research and discussion of the scientific and practical seminar “Structural relief of the Sventokshysky Mountains and Ponidzya – the state and prospects of research”, organized by The Structural Geomorphology Commission of the Polish Geomorphologists. The region chosen for the seminar is characterized by unique relief, which was affected by a specific tectonic structure and lithological composition and has become the result of mor phogenesis that has lasted since the beginning of the Paleogene. The thematic and regional diversity of the scientific reports, which were presented, indicate a high level of exploration of the Sventokshysky Mountains geological structure and terrain research. The most important scientific problems and results of the latest research in the field of structural geomorphology of this region were out lined, the active involvement in the arsenal of structural-geomorphological research of such new methods as interpretation of mate rials of remote sensing of the Earth, in particular lidar scanning, geophysical and geomorphologic technologies were demonstrated. A number of reports about the structural relief of other regions of Poland also were presented. Field trips took place in the most interesting and representative structural-geomorphological features of this region, where geological monuments from the Cambrian period to the Anthropogenic are observed on the surface. The structural, lithological, palaeogeomorphological and tectonic condi tions of river valleys and their watersheds, structural-denudation relief of sandstone rocks, conditions and factors of karst processes development were subject of research. On the example of specific forms, it was demonstrated that the structural predetermination of the relief of a given region has a large-scale nature and is reflected from the macro level (the location of the main orographic ele ments and their morphological features) to the micro level (the influence of selective denudation, structure, texture, surface of rocks).Стаття присвячена огляду головних питань, які стали предметом дослідження та дискусії семінару “Структурний рельєф Свєнтокшиських гір та Понідзя – стан та перспективи досліджень”, організованого Комісією зі структурної геоморфології Асоціації польських геоморфологів.
