Development of national parliamentarism in historical and national dimensions

The criterion dimension of parliament and parliamentarism in modern scientific literature is studied. The main milestones of the development of representative democracy in Ukraine are analyzed. The stages and specifics of the formation of parliamentarism in Ukraine during the period of independence are highlighted. The legal and organizational principles of the activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are analyzed. The role and place of the Parliament of Ukraine in the formation of a democratic, legal state was studied. An analysis of the foreign experience of the development of parliamentarism was carried out. Ways have been developed and prospects for improving the model of parliamentarism in Ukraine have been highlighted.
